Browser Buster
Privacy Policy
Browser Buster is an experimental browser-agent extension. It runs in your Chromium profile and sends model requests through Vercel AI Gateway with the key you save.
Effective date: September 18, 2026
Our privacy commitment
Browser Buster does not operate an application backend and does not create a Browser Buster account. You supply your own Vercel AI Gateway key. Browser Buster is not an offline assistant: task content may leave your device when a model request is made.
Information the extension accesses
- Your messages and task instructions. Text you type in the side panel is stored locally with chat history and may be sent to Vercel AI Gateway and its selected model providers.
- Page content for the current task. Observed page text, element labels, relevant field values, and tab URLs may be sent to Gateway so Browser Buster can choose and verify actions.
-
Gateway API key. Saved in
chrome.storage.localin this browser profile. It is not an encrypted vault. - Settings and diagnostics. Engine preference, tab behavior, and recent diagnostic events stay on the device. Exported logs can include page-derived text; review them before sharing.
Information we do not collect
- A Browser Buster account, advertising identifiers, or analytics beacons
- Health, financial, or precise location data as a product feature
- Your Gateway key in source code, build files, or an .env file
How data is handled
- Browser actions execute locally in the task tab.
- Model requests go to
https://ai-gateway.vercel.shusing your key. - Removing the extension clears its local storage, not data already sent to providers.
- There is no Browser Buster advertising and no sale of personal information.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices change, this page will be updated before those changes take effect. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
